We believe that it is important for everyone to have an opportunity to connect with others in a small group setting. Our vision is to be a continually growing, city centre church but we do not want anyone to feel unimportant or overlooked because they are part of a crowd.

We encourage people to get involved in small groups that they can relate to and that are relevant to their current situation. This allows the opportunity to build friendships and a network of support to one another.

Home Groups
In various locations around the city small groups meet in homes. The primary purpose of these groups is to develop friendship, to encourage and inspire one another in faith and to give support to those who are in the midst of particular struggles.

Someone is designated to lead each group and the format of an evening will usually include group discussion, prayer and fellowship.

Foundation Classes
These are classes for those exploring Christian faith or who have recently become Christians. The Christian life is intended to be the most exciting, dynamic life imaginable and in order to seize hold of it fully it is essential to have good foundations.

These groups give the opportunity to examine and establish those foundations in your life.

Ladies Groups
There are numerous opportunities for ladies to meet together for mutual encouragement and support. These different opportunities represent the diversity of demands that women face in our present culture.

Some glass ceilings have been broken and the possibilities and potential to advance are great. Yet there are still age old attitudes and constraints and as a church we are seeking to support women in pursuit of the possible while dealing with the practical.

International Classes

English Classes

English classes are held twice a week for those wishing to learn English as a foreign language. Students attend from many countries including Iran, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Romania. We welcome people from all faiths or from none. Most students are asylum seekers in the city but anyone wishing to improve their English is welcome. Tuition and
materials are free of charge.

Classes are currently divided into two groups - Beginners and Pre-Intermediate. Students are assessed to ascertain their level of learning then a programme is prepared for improving their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Most classes are run in a group setting but individual tuition is also given. Students are able to sit exams to Level 3.
